During the working meeting in Yerevan City Hall which was chaired by Mayor Taron Margaryan the head of Development and Investment Programs Department reported that the department is going on presenting the investment packages worked out by the Municipality to interested structures and potential investors. It was also outlined that the schedule had been specified for the pilot program within the cope of which solar batteries will be installed on the roofs of approximately 90 blocks of flats, and the yard areas of these buildings and the public areas will be lit with LED lamps. The grant for realization of this program will be provided by the EU within the frames of “Covenant of Mayors” initiative.Attaching particular importance to this program Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that depending on the effectiveness of the implementation the program will be carried on all over the city and necessary financial means will be disbursed from the community budget.
During the meeting it was reported that the control over keeping the norms of obligatory improvement of surrounding areas by entrepreneurs, which is required by the Council of Elders of Yerevan, is going on. accordingly, during the previous month 8 cases of violations were registered. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to go on the programs and once again inform entrepreneurs about their obligations.
The Chief Designer of the capital, the Department of nature Protection and the heads of administrative districts of the capital were assigned to submit proposals on flower decoration of the capital prior to the jubilee of 2018.
Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan reported that New Year decoration of the capital is going on in the capital. The program of festive events “New Year in Yerevan 2018” is ready. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to inform public on the details of the program.
