Become a Volunteer, Save Lives
Thanks to the joint efforts of the Yerevan Municipality and the "HENAR" Foundation, a new initiative aimed at improving public healthcare has been launched in Yerevan. The program allows trained volunteers to assist ambulance crews by providing first aid to individuals experiencing cardiovascular emergencies using defibrillators—before the ambulance arrives. Defibrillators have been installed in the city center—on streets, in parks, and other public spaces—in accordance with international standards. Each device is located no more than 300 meters from the next, to ensure accessibility.
This strategic placement, based on international practices, enables volunteers to reach the scene of an incident within six minutes, significantly increasing the chances of survival in cases of cardiac arrest.
