On the event of the International Day of Theatre Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan hosted a number of figures of the sphere. Congratulating them on their special day the Mayor expressed gratitude for their devoted work.

“Via your performances you convey the audience not only love and warmth but also form our tomorrow’s citizens, shape their outlook. Unfortunately, the last three years also influenced this sphere. I’d like to assure that the community will do its best to come up with new programs and to boost the cultural life of the capital”, marked the Mayor.
For significant contribution to drama art and for high artistic skills the actor of the National Academic Theatre after Gabriel Sundukyan Armen Marutyan and the director of the State Theatre of Musical Comedy after Hakob Paronyan Anush Sargsyan were awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s Gold Medal, and the actress of the National Academic theatre after G. Sundukyan Araksia Melikyan and the actor of the Cinema Actor Theatre after Henrik Malyan Georgi Hovakimyan were awarded with “Erebuni-Yerevan 2800” memorial medal.
A number of figures of drama art were awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s Honorary Diplomas.
