By the program of the RA Government “Organization of summer rest for schoolchildren” and with the assistance of Yerevan Municipality, this year about 1175 children from Yerevan are to go to Tsaghkadzor and Hanqavan camps. 425 children went to the camps by the first stage.

The children spending their rest in the camps were visited by the head of the Department of Education of Yerevan Municipality Gayane Soghomoyan who got acquainted with the conditions of the camps, talked to the children.
The head of the Department of Education inspected the food storehouses, kitchens, canteens, first-aid posts.
“We haven’t fixed any violations: we inspected the storage time of products, the rations, and the diet. The sanitary and hygiene conditions, living conditions are also satisfactory. The everyday life in the camps is full of sport, educational and entertainment activities. In each unit there are children both from Yerevan and from different regions of Armenia and this fact is important. The children get acquainted and make new friends”, said Gayane Soghomonyan.
The conditions and everyday life in summer camps are under permanent control of Yerevan Municipality. The camps are regularly visited by the head of the Department of Social Welfare Ruzanna Zakaryan and by the head of the Union of Family, Women’s affairs and Children’s rights protection Ida Khachatryan. The beneficiaries of the program are children from different social groups: disabled servicemen, children with no parents and from needy families with many children.
The program in general includes 4500 school-age children from throughout Armenia.
