As part of the "Erebuni-Yerevan 2807" celebrations, the Department of Children and Social Protection of the Yerevan Municipality launched an initiative giving children the opportunity to express their love for the city.
Schoolchildren from Yerevan took part in creative projects under the titles “Love letter to Yerevan,” “My Yerevan, my art,” and “Yerevan through my eyes.”
Students in grades 3 to 5 participated in the "Love letter to Yerevan" essay contest, from which ten compositions were selected.
Young artists aged 11-14 presented their artworks in the “My Yerevan, my art” contest, with the top 10 pieces chosen.
The “Yerevan through my eyes” contest brought together teenagers aged 13-15, who submitted short films. The five most outstanding short films were selected.
The works were exhibited at Yerevan Municipality.
The top-scoring participants were invited to Yerevan Municipality, where Deputy Mayor Sargis Madatyan, accompanied by members of the Yerevan Council of Elders Arevik Blejyants and Kristine Vardanyan, as well as Gevorg Gharibyan, Acting Head of the Department of Children and Social Protection, congratulated the young creators and gave commemorative gifts.
During the visit, the children also toured the Yerevan History Museum, where they learned about the city's history.
