“Yerevan is me”: Honorary Citizen of Yerevan Yervand Manaryan
Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan visited the flat of the RA People’s Artist Yervand Manaryan to hand him the certificate of the Honorary Citizen of Yerevan. At the suggestion of Mayor Marutyan, on October 8 the Council of Elders unanimously confirmed the decision on awarding the title of the honorary Citizen of Yerevan to the eminent actor and art figure. Expressing gratitude to Yervand Manaryan the Mayor wished him strong health and lots of energy.
“You have always inspired me with your artistic life and your participation in creating our statehood. It was highly important for those who struggled for the new Armenia and dreamt of this day. Your active participation in all this played a significant role. I express gratitude on everyone’s behalf and I think that each creating human should take part in the processes going on inside a state. You are a special example to me”, said Mayor Hayk Marutyan.
