Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan hosted the head of the EU Delegation Ambassador Vasilis Maragos. Nowadays, Yerevan is carrying out various projects with the EU organizations in different spheres of urban economy. During the meeting the parties concerned the process of implementation of the joint programs and outlined upcoming activities.
Referring to the cooperation formed between the organizations, Mayor Avinyan attached particular importance to the participation of international establishments in the development of Yerevan infrastructures and marked that the community is ready to discuss new projects.
Congratulating Tigran Avinyan on being elected for Yerevan Mayor’s office, Mr. Vasilis Maragos marked that the cooperation with the city authorities is a priority for the European Union which also guarantees implementation of new programs and cooperation expansion. As new cooperation directions the parties outlined the traffic organization, increasing of the fleet of green buses, installation of the system of municipal police and digitalization of urban services. Yerevan Mayor informed that the community had already started taking actions in some directions so as to make Yerevan a safer, more convenient and smarter city.
