No more overhead cables on 28 streets in Yerevan
On 28 streets in Yerevan, overhead cables will be laid through underground trenches. Totally, about 80 km of trenches will be dug. The process is currently underway on Tumanyan and Hanrapetutyan streets. Thanks to the implementation of the project, there will no longer be wires running through the "Yerqaghluys" poles on these streets.
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan watched the progress of the work.
The project also provides for the replacement of poles, sodium and mercury lamps with LED ones. The main goal of the project is to create a safe and energy-saving external lighting network in Yerevan.
