The oldest bridge in Yerevan, the Red Bridge, is being restored as part of a public-private partnership. About 20% of the 80-meter-long construction has survived. The restoration project for the ancient bridge is designed to preserve ancient layers and elements, and therefore, reconstruction and reinforcement are not envisaged. After the renovation, the bridge will be open to pedestrians only.
