The members of the “Republican party” faction of Yerevan Council of Elders met with the chairman of Moscow City Duma Alexey Shaposhnikov and with the leaders of a number of commissions, members of Duma within the frames of “Moscow days in Yerevan” event.
The head of the “Republican party” faction of Yerevan Council of Elders Sergey Mkrtchyan greeting the guests presented the activities carried out by the Council s well as the functions of the acting commissions, “We are glad to welcome you in Yerevan. I am sure that the new agreements made within the framework of the visit will promote cooperation development both between the cities and the establishments. Yerevan Council of Elders within its powers is ready to assist in interaction expansion between city authorities”.
The chairman of Moscow City Duma Aleksey Shaposhnikov expressing gratitude for the meeting in his turn presented the program policy implemented by Duma. He expressed hope that in near future the cooperation with Yerevan Council of Elders would become more substantial. At the end of the meeting the Moscow party invited the members of Yerevan Council of Elders to Moscow to familiarize themselves with their experience on the spot.
