Sisterhood Protocol was signed between Davtashen district of Yerevan and Antony commune in France

Within the frames of cooperation established between Davtashen administrative district of Yerevan and Antony commune in France, at the behest of Antony Mayor the delegation of Davtashen district headed by the leader of the district Ruslan Baghdasaryan visited Antony, France on September 11-13. During the visit the members of the delegation met with Antony Mayor Jean-Yves Senant. Attaching particular importance to strengthening and expansion of bilateral ties the parties discussed future plans.
The members of Yerevan delegation together with their colleagues from Antony were present at the 29thWine and Cheese Fest where Armenian brands were presented too. The opening of the fest started with signing of the agreement. The head of Davtashen district Ruslan Baghdasaryan and Antony Mayor Jean-Yves Senant signed Protocol on Sisterhood between Davtashen district of Yerevan and Antony. Greeting those present on behalf of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan the head of Davtashen district Ruslan Baghdasaryan stressed that Yerevan Mayor had always welcomed cooperation expansion worldwide including similar interaction between the administrative districts of Yerevan and other cities and towns as it contributes to experience exchange in various spheres of urban economy.
“The former Mayor of Antony, the president of the Board of Hauts-de Seine department, Member of France Parliament, Armenian by nationality PatricDevejyan, the Armenian Community of Antony, Mayor Jean-Yves Senant, as well as the RA Envoy Vahagn Atabekyan and the member of Antony City Council, chairman of the French-Armenian club Vissam Nehmen contributed greatly to the establishment of cooperation between Davtashen district of Yerevan and Antony. I am sure that bilateral cooperation will be strengthened and expanded in the future”, said Ruslan Baghdasaryan and in his turn invited Antony Mayor to visit Yerevan.
The members of Davtashen delegation also visited the memorial complex commemorating the victims of the Armenian Genocide, put flowers at the monument created by sculptor Toros Rastklan and cleared “Armenian Eagle”.
