On the instruction of the Department of General Education of the Municipality the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Hamo Sahayan are to be held in the schools of the capital throughout the year. The events include reciting, open lessons, conversations with our contemporary poets about Hamo Sahyan's poetry, thematic essays and so on.
The events are numerous especially at the threshold of the birthday of the prominent poet. The pupils of the basic school after Vardges Petrosyan presented the literature composition ''Don't consider me absent'' in the assembly hall of the school and deserved high appreciation.
The citywide recitation contest of Sahyan's poetry among schoolchildren started on March 1. After summarizing the school stage 90 pupils were chosen to participate in the city stage. The contest will be summarized on April 20.
