At the initiative of the tourism unit of Yerevan Municipality the museums subordinated to Yerevan Municipality as well as Yerevan Zoo will have a three-language audio guide program at izi-TRAVEL platform.
This special app provides more than 4000 city and museum audio tours around various countries of the world. The app is free and makes it possible to download the audio tour on mobile phones and other devices. Using this application is important and attractive particularly for individual tourists. Installation of this program prior to the International Museum Day and “Museum night” event is an excellent opportunity for tourists and our compatriots to get to know about the history, the exhibits of museums and to organize an audio tour round a number of sights on their own.
“Museums play an important role in city tourism development. Every tourist gets acquainted with the history and culture of the city first of all due to museums. Using of numerous apps worked out for tourists is widely spread worldwide. Taking into account this fact, on the event of the International Museums Day we initiated the program of three-language audio guide giving information on our municipal museums to install them at izi.TRAVEL platform. We are glad that within successful collaboration our municipal museums joined this program. And from now on this service will be available both to our citizens and tourists”, said the head of tourism unit Gevorg Orbelyan.
It should be noted that on May 20, within the frames of “Museum night” event detailed presentation of the program will be held in Yerevan History Museum. Admission is free.
