Paris and Yerevan restate their lasting and strong ties. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo hosted Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan. During the meeting the parties outlined the priority directions in which they are going to carry out practical programs. In particular, an agreement was made to expand interaction in the spheres of culture, greening and creation of youth centres. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo thanked her colleague for accepting the invitation stressing that the visit will give a new impetus to get noticeable results.

At the end of the meeting the Mayor of Yerevan presented the Mayor of Paris the painting entitled “In the Mountains” created by the talented artist Martin Akoghlyan. The painting was created especially for Ann Hidalgo. A traditional Armenian dance symbolizing the struggling and winning character of the Armenian people is depicted on the canvas.
