Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the ceremony of opening of Golden Apricot International Film Festival

 The 13th international film festival Golden Apricot which is dedicated to the RA 25th anniversary of independence, has started in Yerevan.
 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, the RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, the honorary President of Golden Apricot festival Levon Sargsyan were present at the official ceremony of opening at the “Moscow” cinema.
 The founder and director of GAIFF Harutyun Khachatryan, in his greeting speech attahced importance to the role of the festival in the cultural life of the capital and expressed special gratitude to Yerevan Municipality stressing that due to the joint activities carried out within the scope of the festival Golden Apricot becomes more interesting both for the townspeople and the guests of the capital.
 The 13th GAIFF has started with the show of “Zareh” directed by Hamo Beknazaryan. By the way, this year 3 film genres have been involved in the competition program: playing, documental and Armenian panorama.
 It should be noted that within the frames of the festival, with the assistance of Yerevan Municipality open-air film shows will be on the big screen placed at Swan's Lake. The events are also planned in Aznavour square and Azatutyan (Freedom) square.
