Yerevan Municipality and the leading global agency “Fitch Ratings” engaged in credit status and analytical studies signed today the cooperation agreement for the implementation of the process of giving the city of Yerevan the international status in public financial sphere.
The document was signed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and the head of Russia and CIS regional office of “Fitch Ratings” Dmitry Surkov.
Attaching particular importance to the cooperation establishment with “Fitch Ratings” Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that getting the status will make it possible for Yerevan to be involved in the world financial map and the specialists' assessment of the public finances management and of existing risks in the capital and the corresponding status of the financial stability of the capital will be given by authoritative international organization.
The head of Russia and the CIS regional office of “Fitch Ratings” Dmitry Surkov in his turn assured that within a short time the cooperation will be put into practice.
It should be noted that as a result of the complete implementation of the process of getting the international status in the field of public finances Yerevan with its international status will be visible for those who make use of the global financial map, which will make it possible for interested structures and organizations to get clear idea of the present level of the financial management system of the capital and the city economy.
