Public organization “Armenian camp” for the first time in Armenia held the ceremony of giving awards “Available places” to encourage the organizations and companies which have available infrastructures and services and to spread the information on available places.

Yerevan Mayor's Assistant Maria Baraghamyan and the head of Municipality Department of Social Welfare Ruzanna Zakaryan took part in the event.
During the ceremony of handing awards “Available places” Yerevan Municipality won in the nomination “Available regional governance body”.
Getting the prize the head of Social Welfare Department Ruzanna Zakaryan expressed gratitude to the organizers for appreciation of the work carried out by the Municipality and presented in brief the programs implemented with the aim of providing the availability of objects and services.
“During the last years special attention is paid in Yerevan development programs to the problems of people with physical disabilities. Yerevan city commission for the problems of disabled people has been working in Yerevan Municipality for a few years. Up to now more than 1200 wheelchair ramps have been constructed in the capital. 25 public buses have been equipped with special lifts for people with locomotor problems. A center for on-line support for people with hearing and speech disorders is functioning as well. All the mentioned programs are being carried on. Generally, the problems of people with physical disabilities are at the focus of permanent and direct attention of Mayor Taron Margaryan”,said Ruanna Zakaryan.
