Yerevan Municipality and European Investment Bank to Implement Joint Programs
Yerevan Municipality and the European Investment Bank are going to implement joint programs in several fields of urban economy. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan discussed the issues related to cooperation expansion between the two organizations during the meeting with the delegation headed by the EIB Director for Neighbouring Countries Department Lionel Rapaille.
With the EIB support and within the frames of the Energy Efficiency Program of Yerevan, kindergartens are being overhauled, and policlinics have been involved in the program as well. The Program of Solid Waste Management of Yerevan envisages the construction of a new landfill in the area of Nubarashen landfill.
Attaching importance to cooperation expansion, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan presented the projects already implemented and to be implemented in the capital and outlined the significant influence they will have on increasing the quality of life and can be of the bank’s interest.
The Director of the EIB Neighbouring Countries Department Lionel Rapaille stressed that Yerevan is an important partner for the bank, and expressed confidence in continuation of the joint projects.
