The issues related to the programs being carried out jointly with the World Bank were discussed during the meeting of Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan with the representatives of the bank Arman Vatyan and Khuram Farooq. The projects include public administration reforms via digitalization of services provided for citizens.
Greeting the guests Mayor Avinyan outlined that digital and smart reformation is among the main priorities of the city authorities as such improvements make possible overcome existing challenges and keep up with the time requirements.
The representatives of the World Bank expressed willingness to transfer the cooperation programs into practical phase in accordance with the priorities outlined by the community.
As an important digitized tool, the Mayor pointed out the “Active Citizen” application and the acquirement of Geographic Information System (GIS) which are designated to make services provided for our citizens more available, transparent and logical. Particular importance was attached to the Bank’s assistance in involvement of the mechanisms of local adjustment of these e-services, their internal monitoring and feedback.
