At the suggestion of Saint Petersburg Governor Georgi Poltavchenko Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan together with the Governor was present at the opening ceremony of the sports and entertainment event “Happy starts 2015”.
159 children from the RF central federal region and Saint Petersburg orphanages are taking part in the event held under Saint Petersburg governor patronage and are going to compete in six age groups in various kinds of sports.In his speech addressed to those present Saint Petersburg Governor Georgi Poltavchenko, attaching importance to similar sports and cultural initiatives noted that the aim of this event is instill the idea of physical education importance in population, to develop mass sport promoting healthy lifestyle. Those who will get the first three places will be handed presents on behalf of the Mayor of Yerevan.
