Yerevan Mayor who is in Paris with an official visit met the President of the Regional Council of Ile-de-France . The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Republic of France H.E.Ms Hasmik Tolmajian was present at the meeting as well.

Greeting Hrachya Sargsyan Valerie Pecresse marked that strengthening the relationship with Yerevan is of particular importance for the Regional Council of Ile-de-France and that Yerevan Mayor’s visit will make it possible to expand the cooperation programs in certain directions of urban planning.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome the Mayor of Yerevan in his turn noted that taking into account the present-day challenges Yerevan attaches high importance to the experience of its French partner cities and to the possibility of using it.
During the meeting the parties also touched upon the intention of greening the areas of closed mines in Yerevan and changing them with joint efforts. Ile-de-France has the successful experience of such an accomplishment.
