Yerevan Deputy Mayor Sargis Madatyan participated in the 44th General Assembly of the Association of French-speaking Mayors held in Lausanne (Switzerland).
During the visit, the Deputy Mayor had a meeting with Ariana Ardes responsible for AIMF international cooperation. The Deputy Mayor stressed that as a member of the Francophone family, Yerevan Municipality considers the cooperation with the AIMF to be of high importance. The project involving preservation and reconstruction of “Erebuni” archaeological site, which was signed between Yerevan Municipality and the AIMF, was discussed during the meeting. The financial and technical support, the issues related to the process of implementation and its completion were discussed as well.
In Lausanne Sargis Madatyan met the First Deputy Mayor of Marseille Michele Rubirola, discussed the issues related to the cooperation between the two cities as well as to the reconclusion of the agreement.
