Yerevan Mayor visits Armenian Apostolic Church in Riga
During the official visit to the capital of Latvia the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited Armenian Apostolic Church St Gregory the Illuminator in Riga.
The spiritual leader of Riga's Armenian Apostolic Church St Gregory the Illuminator Archpriest Khosrov Stepanyan delivered the prayer after which he handed the special medals of Armenian Apostolic Church to Yerevan and Riga mayors for the efforts aimed at the establishment of close ties between Yerevan and Riga.
Attaching particular importance to preservation of national culture and traditions and to the role and significance of Armenian Apostolic Church in patriotic upbringing in Armenian communities of Diaspora mayor Taron Margaryan expressed gratitude to Archbishop Khosrov Stepanyan for his consistent activity promoted unification of the Armenian community of Riga.
