Yerevan Mayor and Saint Petersburg Governor laid flowers at the monument to children of Siege of Leningrad

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and Saint Petersburg Governor Georgi Poltavchenko laid flowers at the monument to the children of the Siege of Leningrad rendering the memory tribute to thousands of victims of the Siege of Leningrad. The monument was erected in 2015 in Yerevan administrative district Arabkir. The monument presented by the northern capital of Russia is a symbolic token of gratitude to Armenians for the care they showed to the children survived the Siege of Leningrad and taken refuge in Armenia.
Yerevan Mayor and Saint Petersburg Governor planted symbolic fir-trees in the park.
Taron Margaryan and Georgi Poltavchenko also met with the veterans of the Siege of Leningrad living in Yerevan. Taking the opportunity the veterans thanked Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan for permanent attention and care. Wishing the veterans strong health the Mayor of the capital assured that Yerevan Municipality will go on supporting them.
