Yerevan Zoo has been replenished with some innovations

The whole area of Yerevan Zoo is now provided with Wi-Fi network, and the animals' cages are provided with video-cameras and information boards with QR code. This is another program implemented due to mutual trust and partnership between the Municipality and private sector. Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Aram Sukiasyan and the Manager General of “Viva-Cell-MTS” Ralph Yirikyan accompanied by the Director of the Zoo Ruben Khachatryan walked about the area and familiarized themselves with the ultimate result of the program and tested the innovations.
“Yerevan Zoo is being replenished with new programs from year to year and we can state that our zoological garden is really unique in the region. Our aim is to have a zoo corresponding to all international standards. So, the installation of high technologies is the requirement of the time. The Zoo has always successfully cooperated with the private sector and this project with “Viva Cell MTS» is an example of such cooperation and we are grateful to this company for it”, said Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan.
The Director of the Zoo said that the innovation is very important from the point of view of security of the garden and improvement of educational programs.
General Manager of «Viva Cell-MTS» Ralph Yirikyan said that today Yerevan Zoo has become noticeably closer to the high level of top zoological gardens worldwide.
“As we see, Yerevan Zoo is becoming a center for eco-education and eco-training and this is very important. We are proud of our Zoo and all of us should do our best to ensure continuity of the development, to make it more enjoyable and available for visitors, particularly, for pupils, students. On this occasion “Viva Cell-MTS” as well as I and my family have made our donations to provide appropriate work of the infrastructures”, said Ralph Yirikyan.
Showing the participants how the innovations are operated the Director of the Zoo outlined that the innovations installed in the Zoo are also adopted for disabled visitors.
