Memorandum has been signed between Yerevan school after Misak Manushyan and Marseille school “Nationale”

Yerevan Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan and other members of the delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited Marseille school “Nationale” where they familiarized themselves with the educational center and on the spot watched the process.
Presenting the history of creation of “Nationale” school, its principal Seda Biberyan noted that the school was founded in 1980 by the educational and cultural association “Nationale”, on the French-Armenian educational basis. Seda Biberyan also stressed that it is the only school in Marseille where the Armenian language is taught. it was noted that about 350 pupils attend the school. Five of 44 teachers are Armenians.
Expressing gratitude to Seda Biberyan Yerevan Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan attached importance to the role and significance of the school in keeping the national identity of Armenian people and taking the opportunity assured that within the frames of its powers Yerevan Municipality is ready to assist the school in organization of trainings and experience exchange.
Within the frames of the visit the head of Yerevan Municipality Department of Foreign Relations David Gevorgyan and the principal of the school “Nationale” Seda Biberyan signed the memorandum, according to which Yerevan school after Misak Manushyan and Marseille school “Nationale” are to encourage pupils exchange between the two schools, interactive communication between teachers and pupils and organization of joint seminars.
