At the behest of Krasnodar Mayor Vladimir Yevlanov, on the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, Yerevan Mayor’s Advisor Arayik Kotanjyan and the member of the Republican party faction of Yerevan Council of Elders Armen Amoyan took part in the celebration of Krasnodar day on September 26 and 27.The members of Yerevan delegation were welcomed in the sister city of Yerevan, Krasnodar.
During the official meetings it was outlined that a new stage of multi-lateral cooperation was started between the cities within the frames of the sisterhood treaty signed between Yerevan and Krasnodar in 2014. During the events organized on the event of Krasnodar’s day Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan’s congratulatory address was read out, and presents were passed. An alley of sister-cities was opened in “Victory” park in Krasnodar and Yerevan delegation planted there the first tree.
Yerevan-Karabakh cooperation is going on
On the initiative of Mayor Taron Margaryan, within the frames of friendship agreement between Yerevan and Stepanakert the actions provided by the cooperation program are being implemented consistently. At the behest of the head of Davtashen administrative district 20 children from needy families of Stepanakert and Mardakert had an excursion to Yerevan. The children were hosted by the head of Davtashen district.
Accompanied by the employees of the staff of the district head the children visited the Holy Mother See of Echmiatsin, temples of Garni and Geghard, visited “Haghtanak” park, Yerevan Zoo. The children were impressed with the two-day excursion and returned home with presents and in a high mood.
