President Serzh Sargsyan, His Holiness All Armenian Catholisoc Garegin II, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and other officials were present at the ceremony of opening of the modern educational and rehabilitation center built for needy and disabled children.

The design and construction of “Hayk and Elza Didizyan children’s rehabilitation center” were fulfilled by “Yerevan, my love” foundation. The children’s center was built on the land plot of about 800 sq m owned by the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC). According to the treaty signed between the foundation and AAC, after being constructed the building is to belong to AAC and to be used exceptionally for the projects of “Yerevan, my love” foundation. The newly-opened center will be involved in “Hayordats toun” system of Holy Mother See of Echmiatsin.
The President of the Republic together with His Holiness Catolicose, Yerevan Mayor and the founder of “Yerevan, my love” foundation Armen Sargsyan toured about the premises of the center, familiarized themselves with the work done and with the programs provided for accomplishment of the mission of the center. The main goal of the center is to assist the children of needy families and disabled children. Family support center will work here too. According to the persons in charge a number of rehabilitation and educational programs will be available for disabled children in the large children’s center corresponding to international standards.
The services of the Family support center first of all are provided for the children with disabilities, but are not limited to them: the center is open for refugees and evacuated children, for those who need care and for other kids from needy layers.
Within a year about 150 parents will take part in special trainings during which they will get skills for providing best care for disabled children. The center is provided for serving approximately 1000 children a year. The main donators of this project of “Yerevan,my love” foundation are Hayk and Elza Didizyan.
During the opening ceremony the representatives of “Yerevan, my love” foundation expressed gratitude to President Serzh Sargsyan and His Holiness All Armenian Catholicos Garegin II for the support shown throughout the process of implementation of the project.
