24.06.2017

Within the frames of “Yerevan summer 2017” three-month program of events the already traditional event “Yerevan painting” was held in the square after Martiros Saryan. During the event the American Armenian abstractionist artist Narine Isajanyan within a few hours created her abstract style work “Yerevan chronicles”. In her work she used sand, tufa stone powder, soil and water. Yerevan Deputy Mayor Aram Sukiasyan watched the process of creation of this work of art. Presenting her style Narine Isajanyan said that for about 10 year she had preferred working with natural and pastel colours considering them to express the notion of the picture more directly and sincerely. The artist also said that creation of this canvas dedicated to Yerevan in fact became realization of her dream. She assured that it was a honour for her that due to Yerevan Municipality support her work would find its place in Yerevan History Museum.
A master class for the young artists attending municipal art schools and youth creative centers was also given during the event.
