More than 60 events are going to be organized within “Yerevan summer” program
The three-month program of events “Yerevan summer” is going to be held in Yerevan for the 5th year running. The events start on June 1, the International Day of Children’s Rights Protection. During the press-conference the head of the Municipality Department of Culture and Tourism Ruben Hovhannisyan and the head of the Department of External Design and Advertising Araz Baghdasaryan presented the details of the program.
“Yerevan summer 2017” program will be fulfilled in collaboration of Yerevan Municipality with the private sector. Our co-citizens will have several ways to get information on the programs events. From today on information booklets will be distributed in lively areas of the administrative districts. The information on the events will also be available at the official website of Yerevan Municipality www.yerevan.am and at the website www.myYerevan.am”, said Araz Baghdasaryan.
“Yerevan summer 2017” includes both traditional and 60 new events such as festivals, exhibitions, concerts, sport events as well as calendar festivals. This year the traditional festivals “Yerevan with flair”, “Yerevan TARAZfest” “Fresco”, “Yerevan is dancing”, Beer Fest and Watermelon Fest will be held too. This year for the first time we are going to organize “Ice-cream Day” and the first show-contest of pets.
Due to the three-month program of events “Yerevan summer 2017” initiated by Yerevan Mayor, within the last 5 years the capital became a festival city. All our surveys show that these events have become favourable both for townspeople and for guests of the capital which certainly promotes tourism boosting. This year townspeople and the guests will enjoy new events too”, said Ruben Hovhannisyan.
Within the frames of “Yerevan summer 2017 program cultural, sport and educational events will be organized for all age groups and people of different tastes in parks and recreation zones of all administrative districts.
“Yerevan summer 2017” program finishes on August 31 with the event called “Good-bye, summer”.
