Traffic Management Changes to Ensure Uninterrupted and Continuous Traffic Flow
To enhance the organization of bus traffic in Yerevan through the establishment of dedicated bus lanes, a continuous bus lane has recently been implemented along Mashtots Avenue, extending through Khorenatsi, Beirut, Italy, and Argishti Streets. This measure aims to ensure the uninterrupted movement of public transport toward the "Victory" Bridge and in the opposite direction. Consequently, changes to traffic management have been made at various intersections. The objective of these adjustments is to balance the flow of general means of transport across adjacent streets, mitigating the impact of lane reductions caused by the introduction of dedicated bus lanes on the roads mentioned above. The installation of 3000 Kelvin LED street lights across Yerevan began in early 2024. By the first half of 2025, approximately 6,300 such luminaries have already been installed.
According to global health research, particularly findings from the American Medical Association, 3000 Kelvin luminaries are considered a better alternative to 4000 Kelvin and higher-temperature bulbs due to their reduced impact on human health and the urban ecosystem.
In residential courtyard areas, existing lights will be replaced with ones emitting a warmer color temperature of up to 2200 Kelvin, minimizing disruption to nighttime rest.
