She never painted her dreams but depicted real life. The works of art by the Mexican artist Frida Calo are on display at the multimedia exhibition at Yerevan Museum of Modern Art.
Modern projection technology, animated paintings: for during 40 minutes the animated show presented in Armenian and Russian tells art-lovers about the hardships Frida Calo encountered in her childhood, about her creative path. The colours of her self-portraits express her emotions. Calo’s father was a photographer and she inherited the inclination for art. Frida Calo’s art became known to the world only well after her heath, in the 1970s. The project dedicated to one of the brightest artists of the beginning of the 20th century was fulfilled by Natalya Kashleva and Anatoly Zammer.
There are 50 paintings on display.
The exhibition is open till February 26.
