The main preparations for «Erebuni-Yerevan 2797» celebration have mainly been finished. The social program is being implemented within the frames of the celebration. 1590 families of the 2797 ones have already been delivered the household appliances provided by the social program. This was reported during the regular working meeting in Yerevan City Hall which was chaired by Mayor Taron Margaryan.
As a result of the control carried out in the sphere of urban development the previous week 5 cases of illegal construction and land occupation were revealed. At 4 addresses dismantling has been carried out. Concerning illegal street vending it was reported that 11 administrative reports had been drawn up. 68 administrative reports were drawn up regarding wastes dumping in inappropriate places. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the heads of the administrative districts to be more consistent in this regard.
Regarding the process of resettlement of the dwellers of high accident rate buildings and construction of new buildings for them it was reported that one of the 4 buildings had been put into operation, in the rest 3 ones the process is coming to the end. It was also reported that the areas surrounding the buildings are being improved and by the end of the year all the buildings will have been put into operation.
It was also reported that the electronic system of children's registration and attendance control has been installed in municipal kindergartens. The system makes it possible to exclude cases of double registration. Attaching importance to the installation of the system Taron Margaryan instructed persons in charge to study the work of the program and to take steps towards making the system available for residents.
«Annually about 9500 children leave municipal kindergartens and go to school. This means that 9500 children can be enrolled to kindergartens again. Before the installation of the system the number of enrolled children wasn't quite clear. Due to this program we can have full information of the number of the attending children. According to it, the number of children over three years old is about 2500, so to solve the problem we have to provide additional 2000-2500 places. The installation of the program reveled the reasons for exaggerating the number of children. Some parents check in their children in kindergartens when they are just 1-2 years old. The parents should be explained that when their babies reach the age when they are to go to kindergartens there will certainly be all conditions provided for their children. This program should be improved and made available for residents», stressed the Taron Margaryan.
At the end of the conference it was reported that at the present 28 delegations of the sister and partner cities of 13 conutries are going to arrive in Yerevan to take part in «Erebuni-Yerevan 2797» celebration.
