Eighteen years ago, Yerevan and Nice were officially recognized as sister cities through a formal agreement. However, for more than a decade, the partnership lacked substantive engagement. This changed in 2023, when a delegation led by the First Deputy Mayor of Nice visited Armenia. The visit culminated in the signing of a framework agreement on international collaboration in the healthcare sector with the Yerevan Municipality.
As part of this agreement, doctors from Yerevan's medical centers traveled to Nice to participate in a specialized training program. Earlier this year, another group of doctors also arrived in Nice.
The program is still ongoing.
