More than 17 thousand 500 volunteers participated in the citywide tree planning
During the citywide Saturday clean-up and tree planting organized in the capital a number of public areas were cleaned up and replenished with new trees. Structures subordinated to the Municipality as well as state structures functioning in the capital including the Ministry of Defence, RA Police, members of the Council of Elders of Yerevan, NGOs, private companies and thousand residents has joined this action initiated by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.
On the whole 17 thousand 500 volunteers took part in the activities contributing to the cleanness and green areas expansion of the capital. 135 units of machinery was used during sanitary cleaning.
20 thousand trees and 5 thousand bushes were planted in the administrative districts during the autumn citywide tree planting.
