Community shows support in employment of some social groups
Yerevan Municipality Department of Children’s and Social Protection initiated a discussion related to promotion of the programs of employment of needy or war-affected families. The project is implemented in association of the “Armenian Caritas” benevolent NGO.
The head of Children’s and Social Protection Department Lusine Hovhannisyan noted that within the frames of “Social Aid to NGOs” program 25 programs of employment can be presented. The problems related to the beneficiary companies engaged in employment were discussed during the meeting, a number of proposals were made and the format of future cooperation and possibilities of implementation of employment program in Yerevan were defined. The studies related to involvement in the job market of Armenia within the scope of “Covid-19 Resilience in Armenia and Georgia and Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Response” (CoNaKa) were presented as well. The program is financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation and is implemented by the Armenian Red Cross, Georgian Red Cross, “Armenian Caritas”, IDP Women Association “Consent” NGOs.
