The RA President, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yerevan State University Graduates Serzh Sargsyan together with Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan was present at the ceremony of opening the multifunctional block of flats built in Kanaker-Zeytun district within the frames of the social housing program «Available flats for young scientists and the members of creative unions» of the non-governmental organization «Union of YSU graduates».
The leader of the country and Yerevan Mayor walked about the building, visited beneficiaries' flats, familiarized themselves with the work done and housing conditions. 291 beneficiaries got the opportunity to purchase the flat within the frames of the mentioned program. The flats of the multifunctional block of flats built in modern architecture solutions at Paruyr Sevak 8 and 8/1 were allotted to the young specialists of the target group at the price significantly lower than that at the market. The total area of the complex is 9800 sq m. The complex consists of two buildings. The flats were given to the beneficiaries completely repaired. The total building development area is 38846 sq m. The adjacent area of 7110 sq m has been well-arranged, new communication systems were built, landscaping was carried out as well. The block is provided with external lighting. Total costs of the construction program made up AMD 5.844.049.904. More than 800 jobs were created during the implementation of the program.
