During the weekly working meeting in the City Hall which was chaired by the First Deputy Mayor, acting Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan it was reported that the activities carried out within international loan programs are going on in accordance with the schedule. In particular, Yerevan Deputy Mayor Vahe Nikoyan noted that the construction of the segment of Yerevan by-pass road connecting Davtashen to Ashtarak and Babajanyan street to Ashtarak is going on with the assistance of Asian Development Bank. Related to the construction of the new waste dump it was reported that the competition package had already been confirmed by EBRD and after confirmation of the government it will become possible to announce the competition. It has been instructed to keep the activities under permanent control to ensure the quality of work.

Referring to the preparations for the work of the 17th Francophonie Summit to be held in Yerevan Kamo Areyan instructed the departments of the staff, the municipal structures, heads of administrative districts and corresponding services to take measures to ensure proper organization. In particular, it was instructed to set tight control in the area of Tsitsernakaberd Memorial and the Sport and Concert Complex to provide improvement and sanitary cleaning activities, as well as proper care of green areas. Besides, special supervision must be set jointly with the police.
During the meeting it was instructed to submit within a week the program of winter preparations including the list and schedule of the activities to be implemented by “Sanitek” company.
At the end of the working meeting the departments of General Education and Culture as well as the heads of 12 administrative districts to get ready for Teacher’s Day on October 5 and Librarian’s Day to be marked on October 7.
