Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Armenia H.E. Mr Kishan Dan Dewal.

Congratulating the guest on taking his diplomatic mission in Armenia Mayor Marutyan expressed willingness to assist in the expansion and development of the relationship between Yerevan and the cities of India. Yerevan Mayor also attached importance to mutual visits and to the programs of experience exchange between the cities.
In his turn Ambassador Kishan Dan Dewal stressing the rich history of Armenian-Indian relationship offered to develop the ties in concrete directions particularly in the cities of India which have Armenian heritage and large Armenian communities.
The interlocutors also discussed the idea of placing a monument to the national hero of India Mahatma Gandhi in Yerevan.
