Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Armenia H. E. Judith Farnworth. Stressing the high level of Armenian-British relationship, Mayor Marutyan expressed willingness to assist in strengthening the ties between Yerevan and the cities of the United Kingdom. Hayk Marutyan expressed hope that the Embassy will cooperate with Yerevan in the sphere of technical assistance and participation in investment programs.

Ambassador Judith Farnworth in her turn mentioned that the cities of Armenia and Great Britain have a great potential for cooperation.
The parties exchanged opinions about the perspectives of transport network development in the cities of the two countries, waste management, sorting and recycling as well as about the problems of ecology and urban development.
