Mayor Taron Margaryan watched the process of construction of blocks of flats in Ajapnyak district

Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a working visit to Ajapnyak where he watched the process of implementation of the programs of the Municipality provided for 2014. Accompanied by the head of the district the Mayor watched the construction activities at Sisakyan 16, Shinararneri 6 and 15, Margaryan 45. These blocks of flats are being constructed to provide the residents of emergency buildings with new flats. Presenting the process to the Mayor the persons in charge reported that the construction is going on in accordance with the schedule. The Mayor instructed to keep the process at permanent control so as to inconvenience the residents of neighbouring buildings as little as possible. The surrounding areas are to be improved and landscaped after finishing the construction.
Answering the questions of the journalists about the program of resettlement the Mayor stressed that this issue had always been at the focus of attention of the Municipality and due to consistent work it has become possible to build a few buildings at the same time.
“After the inventory of damaged buildings it has become possible that about 650 flats are needed. This problem was at the focus of President’s attention and jointly with the RA Government we set a task to provide at least 200 families with flats in 2013. We finished the construction of the blocks of flats at Sisakyan 22 and Margaryan 37 and provided 207 flats. The building at Sisakyan 22 was built exceptionally by the community means. This year jointly with the RA Government we are going to solve the housing problem of resettlement of 450 residents”, stressed Taron Margaryan and added that in 2014 they inventoried 9 buildings of high emergency rate. Speaking about the principle of allocating the flats Taron Margaryan noted that in accordance with the Government decision, the residents are given flats equivalent to their former flats.by casting of lots.The flats are given to the residents ready for living, repaired and provided with heating systems. For the construction of these new buildings AMD 5 milliard 600 million was disbursed, 1.6 milliard of which was disbursed form the community budget and 4 milliard from the Government. The buildings are built on the places of the former damaged ones and have the aseismic stability corresponding to the norms of Armenia. The end of the construction is scheduled for 2015 October.
