Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan welcomed the delegation headed by the Mayor of Carrara, Italy Angelo Zubbani who arrived in Yerevan to participate in “Erebuni-Yerevan 2798” celebration.

Expressing gratitude for accepting the invitation to take part in the celebration of Yerevan Day, Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that the participation of the delegation of the first sister-city of Yerevan is particularly obligating.
“ We are really happy to see you next to us again. Yerevan and Carrara have been sister-cities for about fifty years and this fact obliges us to make our bilateral relationship and business ties closer. I believe that your participation in the festival will serve additional stimulus to expand the cooperation between our cities”, said Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for invitation and warm welcome Carrara Mayor Angelo Zubbani congratulated all Yerevanians in the person of Taron Margaryan on Yerevan Day and noted that Yerevan which is almost three thousand years old, is really a warm and hospitable city. Referring to the perspectives of bilateral cooperation Angelo Zubbani highly appreciated the willingness of his Yerevan colleague to cooperate and attached importance to mutually beneficial interaction expansion between the two cities.
“I am happy to visit again the capital which is already 2798 years old and has rich history. There is really big potential for cooperation and taking into account the centuries-old friendship between Armenians and Italians we should give a new stimulus to or relationship. By the way, Mister Mayor, I must mention that every time I visit Yerevan I see it more beautiful and comfortable and I know it well, it is the result of everyday consistent work”, said Angelo Zubbani adding that he was impressed with the festive decoration of Yerevan and stressing that he was going to be present at all the event and not only as a guest but as a full participant as well.
