Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the First Deputy Mayor of Lyon George Kepenekyan who arrived in Yerevan to take part in the 3rd Forum of Armenian-French decentralized cooperation. Greeting the guest and expressing the importance of holding the forum in Yerevan the Mayor noted that this is another good platform for the expansion of Armenian-French ties. Attaching particular importance to cooperation expansion with the French partner cities and districts Taron Margaryan highly appreciated the interaction and friendly relationship with the city of Lyon.

Expressing gratitude for warm welcome the first Deputy Mayor of Lyon George Kepenekyan conveyed Mayor Taron Margaryan the warm greetings of Lyon Mayor Gerard Collomb and stressed that Yerevan has become the best friend and partner for Lyon.
Within the frames of the meeting the parties also discussed the process of implementation of the programs being fulfilled between Yerevan and Lyon and the issues related to the new directions for cooperation.
