Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the Minister of Moscow Government, the head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations Sergey Cheryomin and the chairman of the Moscow City Duma Alexey Shaposhnikov who arrived in Yerevan within the scope of “Moscow days in Yerevan”. The head of Yerevan Municipality representation in Moscow Makar Nahapetyan was present at the meeting too.
Appreciating the friendship and partnership between the two peoples Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed the importance of strengthening and expansion of bilateral ties adding that holding “Moscow days in Yerevan” gives one more opportunity to discuss further cooperation programs being implemented between the two capitals.
“Various effective projects have been implemented and are implemented within the frames of cooperation between the two capitals. All this benefits strengthening business ties between Yerevan and Moscow. I am sure that joining our efforts we will give a new impulse to cooperation strengthening and expansion between the two capitals”, said Taron Margaryan.
Having thanked for warm welcome the Minister of Moscow Government the head of the Department for Foreign Economic Activity and International Relations Sergey Cheryomin and the chairman of the Moscow City Duma Alexey Shaposhnikov conveyed warm greetings of Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin to Taron Margaryan stressing that Moscow highly appreciates cooperation with Yerevan and assured that the activities aimed at interaction expansion and development will be continued.
“ The friendship between Armenian and Russian people has got a centuries-old history. And as a result today we have not only business but also friendly relations. And we also sure, Mister Mayor, that business ties between the two capitals will be gradually developing and the directions of cooperation will be expanded. I should stress the particular importance of holding Moscow days in Yerevan and Yerevan days in Moscow: this initiative is really liked and expected by the residents of both capital”, said Sergey Cheryomin and expressed gratitude for high-level organization of “Moscow days in Yerevan” event.
