Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the deputy of the Mayor of Paris Pauline Veron. Greeting the guest and stressing particular importance of expansion and development of business ties between two capital Mayor Taron Margaryan once again outlined that there is a wide field for cooperation between Yerevan and Paris which makes it possible to expand joint programs in the spheres of local self-government, economic development, tourism boosting, investment attraction and in other spheres of urban economy. Referring to the center for creative technologies “TUMO” Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that the center plays an important role in the issue of education og teenagers interested in arts and information technologies.
“TUMO” center certainly has its peculiar place in the life of our city, and as I promised the Mayor of Paris, we will do our best to fulfill a similar project in the capital of France. I am sure that it will become one ore example of friendship and successful cooperation”, stressed Yerevan Mayor. I’d also like to outline that taking into account the act that chess education is at a high level in Yerevan we also have wide opportunities for cooperation in this regard and are willing to share our experience”, said Taron Margaryan.
Expressing gratitude for warm welcome and conveying Taron Margaryan cordial greetings from Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo, Pauline Veron said that Paris Mayor attaches particular importance to consistency and willingness of Mayor Taron Margaryan aimed the expansion and development of the ties established between Yerevan and Paris.
“Mister Mayor, I am pleased to state that the cooperation established between Yerevan and Paris has grown into strong friendship which is proved by jointly initiated programs one of which is the creation of the center like TUMO in Paris. We are grateful for your willingness in further strengthening and expansion of bilateral relationship”, said Paris Deputy Mayor.
At the end of the meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan asked to convey his warm greetings to Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo once again inviting her to visit Yerevan to participate in the celebration of the 2800th anniversary of Yerevan foundation.
