The delegation of Rostov-on-Don, Russia is in the capital at the behest of Yerevan Mayor.Today the delegation headed by the leader of Rostov administration Sergey Gorban met with Mayor Taron Margaryan. The RA General Consul in Rostov Ararat Gomtsyan was present at the meeting too. Greeting the guests and expressing gratitude for accepting the invitation Taron Margaryan highly appreciated the present level of relationship between Yerevan and the region and cities of the Russian Federation stressing that the centuries-old friendship between the two peoples certainly played its role in this issue. Briefly presenting his approaches and priorities in the issue of Yerevan management Taron Margaryan outlined the spheres in which Yerevan Municipality is developing effective cooperation with partner cities. The mayor expressed hope that with signing the cooperation program with Rostov-on-Don administration in the spheres of trade and economy, science and technology and culture provided for 2015-2020, the interaction between Yerevan Municipality and the administration of Rostov-on-Don will become more active.

''We have a lot to be done to strengthen the partnership between the two cities. We attach importance to signing the cooperation program between the administrations of Yerevan and Rostov and I am sure that due to our teamwork we will soon achieve significant results which will certainly become additional stimulus to strengthen the friendship between the two cities and to put it on a new basis'', said Taron Margaryan and suggested forming working groups which are to specify the schedule of business programs implementation.
Expressing gratitude for warm reception and the invitation Sergey Gorban attached importance to the cooperation program and stressed that he would do his best to promote effective cooperation between the two cities within a short time.
''I am sure that together we will be able to achieve success in the field of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two cities. Yerevan is really dear to us and I am certain that our friendship will grow into a reliable and perspective partnership the potential of which is obvious both in Yerevan and in Rostov. It's the second time I've been in Yerevan and I can see the serious and consistent work done in the direction of proportional development of the city. And it is certainly impressive and inspiring and will promote our cooperation to be more effective'', said the leader of Rostov-on-Don administration.
