Last night Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan visited administrative districts of the capital and on the spot watched the process of snow cleaning going on in 24-hour regime. The heads of the administrative districts regulating the activities on the spots reported the Mayor that the process of snow cleaning had been going on for three days. It was also reported that to assist «Sanitk» company which carries out the mentioned work the personnel and machinery of communal services and landscaping companies were involved in the activities. Besides, it was reported that in accordance with the arrangements made by the Mayor, the machinery of some companies was included in the work too.
Expressing gratitude to all the employees and persons in charge involved in snow cleaning Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed that the work wasn't enough.
«It's clear that because of incessant snow it's difficult to get visible results. Currently the priority task is to provide passability of the streets. There are no closed streets in the capital and it's certainly the result of work done. However the work done isn't enough and a lot more must still be done. But I am sure that everything will be done properly. I have been reported that about 500 employees involved in the process saw the New Year in at their working places. I am grateful to all these people and to all those who were working day and night from December 30 up to now to minimize the difficulties caused by the incessant snow in the capital», stressed the Mayor of Yerevan.
Taking into account the weather forecast Taron Margaryan instructed to carry on snow cleaning activities and after snowfalls stopping to concentrate on rapid cleaning and removing of snow from the streets and yard areas of the capital.
