On the event of Teachers' Day and Prior to Librarians' Day Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan hosted the teachers of secondary schools, pre-schooling establishments and librarians in the City Hall.

Congratulating those present and expressing gratitude to them for their devoted work Mayor Taron Margaryan noted that each year teachers and librarians mark their professional holidays with new achievements.
“Marking your professional holidays together in the City Hall has become a nice tradition which is a good opportunity to speak about achievements and success, as well as about the problems and the ways of their solution in parallel with congratulations.
We should state with delight that every year the teachers and librarians of the capital get new achievements. Upbringing of coming generations and therefore the future of our country depends on your work,
It's certainly difficult to find appropriate words of appreciation of your work, and it's impossible to evaluate completely your contribution and devotion”, said the Mayor assuring that the problems still existing in the sphere are at the focus of the Municipality and the results of their solution will become more visible.
Stressing the importance of librarians' work Mayor Taron Margaryan said that as a result of that important mission the love and interest of particularly the young generation towards language and literature is preserved.
“In today's conditions of science and technology, when computers and high technologies entered almost all the spheres of our life, books are still the main component of education, upbringing and comprehensive development of the younger generation. And this is certainly owing to the employees of our system of libraries, who keeping the particular treatment of Armenians towards books, writing and literature undertake the honorary mission to convey it to subsequent generations”, stressed the Mayor.
It should be noted that at the instruction of Yerevan Municipality this year for the first time was organized the competition for Yerevan best headmaster of the year, for Yerevan best teacher of the year and for Yerevan best nurse of the year. According to its results the winners were handed certificates by Mayor Taron Margaryan. Thus, in “Yerevan best headmaster” nomination won the headmaster of the school after N. Zaryan Armine Hovhannisyan; Biology teacher at the school after G. Stepanayan Gayane Hovsepyan was recognized “Yerevan best teacher”; the nurse at the kindergarten N45 Narine Sekhilyan was recognized “Yerevan best nurse”.
During the reception organized on the event of the professional holidays the headmaster of the basic school after Fridtjof Nansen Manik Hayrapetyan, the headmaster of the basic school after Vardges Petrosyan Alisa Ghazaryan and distinguished pensioner Silva Khachatryan were awarded with memory medal “Honorary teacher of Yerevan”.On the event of Librarians' Day the head of the reading hall of “The central library after Avetik Isahakyan” NCO Klavdia Nalbandyan was awarded with Yerevan Mayor's Gold medal. For big contribution and devoted professional activity in the sphere of children's education and upbringing, a number of employees of the spheres of education and library system were awarded with Yerevan Mayor's honorary diplomas.
