Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan together with the RA Minister of Health Levon Altunyan and the officials of the sphere of heath care was present at the opening of the forum dedicated to the 55th anniversary of foundation of “Science and research institute of cardiology” after Levon Hovhannisyan.

Congratulating on the 55th anniversary of the institute foundation and greeting the participants of the forum Mayor Taron Margaryan highly appreciated the role of the institute in the sphere of health care.
“Within the last 55 years the scientific and research institute overcame a number of obstacles and got a number of achievements. And today all the hardships related to the management have been overcome and the institute has taken the way of sustainable development. I assure you that within its powers Yerevan Municipality will always support you and in teamwork with the Ministry of Heath will assist in the implementation of all the programs of the institute which will contribute to the health care of our population”, said Taron Margaryan.
On the event of the 55th anniversary of foundation Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan awarded the head of the division of the clinic laboratory diagnostics, DM professor Vilis Mkrtchyan with Yerevan Mayor’s gold medal.
The head of the division of Arrythmology of “Science and research institute of cardiology”, DM professor Svetlana Grigoryan, the head of the division of the general cardiology, candidate of medical sciences Hayk Kamalyan and the head of the division of intervention cardiology and clinical electro-physiology, DM professor Ashot Hovhannisyan were awarded with honorary diplomas of Yerevan Mayor.
