Every year the second Sunday of August is marked as Builder’s Day. Prior to the festive day an event was organized at which were present the RA Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan and Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan.
Congratulating the builders on the professional holiday Mayor Taron Margaryan stressed the particular role of the sphere in the development of the capital.
“During the recent years construction activities have become more active in Yerevan and we must take joint efforts to develop the sphere using new technologies and attracting skilled specialists and companies so that Yerevan will become more developed. I am sure that together we will be able to build the city of our dream. I wish that the sound of builder’s hammer should never stop in our capital”, said Taron Margaryan.
On the event of the day, for the contribution and devoted work the head of the chair of engineering geodesy of National University of Architecture and Construction, PhD economics Suren Tovmasyan was awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s Gold Medal.
On the event of the professional holiday, for significant contribution to the sphere of architecture and construction a number of representatives of the sphere were awarded with Yerevan Mayor’s honorary diplomas.
During the festive event the representatives of the sphere were congratulated and awarded by the RA Minister Karen Karapetyan. The head of “Yerevanproject” CJSC Hovhannes Meyroyan was awarded with the RA Prime Minister’s thanksgiving diploma.
